This week we have decided to show you some of the sites around the Temple and surrounding area:
Our accommodation centre entrance
Sister Kiddle looking out our Apartment window
The Manor House - on the Temple Grounds - Home of the Temple Presidency
Duck pond and homes in the Village of Lingfield
Small jail next to duck pond used to keep vagrants in overnight during the 1800's
Stake Centre where we attend church in Crawley
It has a very unique chapel
We attended Family Home Evening in the Manor House tonight. In a quiz game on Church Temples, the question was asked, "How many operating temples are there in the world?" Everyone eagerly shouted 139. We said "Wrong! There are 140, as the Calgary Temple was dedicated yesterday!" Our team won the game by one point!
Love from Elder and Sister Kiddle
Love all the pictures this week. I'd like a closer look at the small jail. That seems really cool. Good job in winning your game by answering how many operating temples there are. Of course you guys would know better than anyone the answer to that question. I'll show the kids this blog posting later, as I'm sure they'll like all the pictures on it too. Tonight is Halloween and the kids are very excited!
